Georgia Road Trip with G. Garvin

Last Thursday I was honored to attend  a private screening of Chef  G. Garvin’s new show on the Cooking Channel, Georgia Road Trip with G. Sweet Surprise-Banana Cake!

I was pleasantly surprised last week with a link to a yummy banana cake recipe. My good friend Jennifer made the cake for Father’s Day and she said it was delicious.  I asked Jennifer if she took any pictures of the cake and she said she didn’t have the best plating skills. Let’s just say, Jennifer really has more skill at plating than she gave herself credit for. 😉 Her picture was fabulous!   Doesn’t this look great?!   Here…

Saturday was a great day! I attended my first Ladies Who Launch Linc Up at  a great new co-working space, TheWork Spot. Just before we began the meeting I went next door to Chocolate Perks coffee shop and ordered a white chocolate latte. While waiting for my latte(which was yummy), I took a peep at the desserts on display then my eyes fell on this. Sweet Surrender Fudge. I had a tough time deciding on which flavor to buy. I had…

So without further ado, here are the tools and ingredients you will need to make your very own pralines. Enjoy! Pralines Recipe Ingredients: 3  cups Light Brown Sugar 1/8 tsp. of…

Chay J's Creole Pretzels

Okay, by now you should get the hint that I am going with a New Orleans theme for the next few posts. I would be remise if I didn’t give a quick shout out to Channon Powell owner of Chay J’s New Orleans Candies. I had the pleasure of sampling her creole pretzels at an event and instantly fell in love! The interesting part about these pretzels is that they are sweet and not spicy as one would think  a creole…

Gingerbread and Eggnog

Okay, this may seem like a funny title for a post, but these are two of my favorite things to eat/drink during Christmas.  I have never made gingerbread and have a recipe waiting to come to life in my kitchen, but I just haven’t had the time to do it.  I know, excuses, excuses. There is just so much I want to bake and I can’t bake it all! LOL!  So in emergency situations like this, I look to others…
